Aspiring actress and socialite, Deloris Donkor, has warned people to stop criticizing those who undergo cosmetic surgery because they might do the same if they had the money.
Deloris said on Daily Hustle on SVTV Africa that women shouldn’t be judged for wanting to seem more attractive and self-assured.
She continued by saying that they are economically stable therefore, they do not require others’ approval if they want to use their own money to do anything thus it is only broke people who live in single rooms condemn them for undergoing body enhancement.
Deloris claimed that when she was a teenager, she was self-conscious of her breasts but as she grew older, her confidence heightened.
“If it will make you feel confident, do it. I feel like those who chastise these people do not have the means yet and will probably do worse if they had the means. If they believe that getting their breasts done will make them more confident, who are you to say that they shouldn’t do it?
Do you know what you would do if you had the money? We will know if your opinion is valid when you get the money but do not do it. You live in a single room with no bathroom, yet you insult someone,” Deloris told DJ Nyaami.
It’s worth it if it can boost your self-assurance. Critics of these individuals, in my opinion, lack the resources to make a difference and would make matters far worse if they did.
Who are you to suggest that they shouldn’t have their breasts altered if they feel that doing so would boost their self-esteem?
Can you imagine what you’d do if you were suddenly flush with cash? When you are given the resources to implement your proposal but choose not to do so, we will know whether your assessment is correct. “You live in a single room with no bathroom, but you criticize someone.
