with Oesteosacorma, a type of bone cancer. Until he had to have his leg amputated, his main ambition was to become a professional football player.Musa continued to play football after his amputation, but dance found him. He began
dancing as a street dancer in 2010 and has since broken down barriers. He appeared in a few
music videos, including Drake’s “One Dance.”
In 2018, he decided to pursue a professional dance career and joined the wonderful Vuyani Dance Theatre in Johannesburg’s Newtown. He learned more about the professional dancing industry at this point. He performed contemporary, afro-fusion, tap, and ballet. Musa Motha has been travelling internationally.

Musa is a finalist in the 16th season of Britain’s Got Talent 2023 on ITV. Comedian Viggo Venn,
Ghetto Kids, a dance group from Kampala, Uganda, and vocalists Olivia Lynes, Travis George,

Musa performed a routine to Naughty Boy’s ‘Runnin’ (Lose It All)’ in his BGT audition,
and his performance earned him the Golden Buzzer, advancing him to the show’s Semi-Finals.

following Musa’s performance. “Your clearly somebody, no matter what their mind to they can
achieve.”
Musa performed a routine to Ruelle’s ‘Where We Come Alive’ during the Semi-Finals,
originally performing alone on stage on one crutch, later joined by backing dancers, and
finally performing alone with both crutches. “That was so epic,” Amanda said, “and I’m so
proud of you.” Judge Bruno Tonioli remarked, “You remind us that if we put our hearts into it,

The parents have arranged a watch party for his family members, friends and fans to support
the South African-born amputee dancer in the finale.
Musa Motha’s mother, Ntokozo Matale, told the Sunday Times ahead of the finale: “I feel God is great.
When Musa was sick, I was devastated. God has so many ways of showing his love to us. Musa was a strong boy through his illness and losing his leg.
Musa Motha’s family is based in South Africa and supports his professional dance career. “My family has been supportive since day one, my mother knows everything about my dancing career,” Musa said.
