His full name is Juan Guillermo Cuadrado Bello. Cuadrado is a professional footballer from Columbia who plays as a winger for Italian Serie A club Juventus and the Colombia national team.
Cuadrado begun his career at Independiente Medellín. He moved to Italy in 2009 to join Udinese. He wasn’t getting enough playing time so he was loaned to Lecce for the 2011/2012 season. On 2nd February 2015, Premier League club Chelsea announced the signing of Cuadrado from Fiorentina on a four-and-a-half-year deal for a reported initial fee of £23.3 million, which could potentially rise to £26.8 million.
On 25th August 2015, Cuadrado signed a season-long loan deal with Juventus for €1.5 million. Cuadrado returned to Chelsea after the season, however, on 31st August, Cuadrado returned to Juventus on a three-year loan for €5 million per season, plus a conditional obligation to buy the full registration rights of Cuadrado from Chelsea for an additional €20 million after certain sports related achievements.
Chelsea would also receive a maximum of €4 million bonuses, making the fee potentially raise to €29 million. On 22nd May 2017, it was announced that Cuadrado had joined Juventus on a permanent deal for a preset price of €20 million until 2020.
Juan Cuadrado has been very integral in the Columbia national team. He has represented Columbia in Goa America in 2011, 2015, 2018 and 2021. Cuadrado has been part of the 23-man squad for the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and 2018.
