It was always good to give back to society when you have much in your purse. Stunning Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah has done just that after funding the Korle-Bu pediatric ward’s refurbishing for children suffering from sickle cell anemia at the Korle-Bu teaching hospital.
The 37-year-old stunning actress took to her Instagram account to share a video from a well-decorated and furnished hospital ward on Thursday and said it touched her heart to embark on such a project after she lost a friend to sickle cell anemia some time ago.
The actress captioned:
“I am pleased to be here to hand over a new daycare center called “Jackie’s Corner” for children suffering from sickle cell disease. Sometime last year my friend Jo-Anne Badu lost her life to sickle cell anemia.
“I hope this new ward gives them hope to keep living and keep fighting. I am honored to be here. I am privileged that I can smile and make others smile too. It is my pleasure to hand over ‘Jackie’s corner’ to the management of the Korle Bu Teaching hospital.”
