Suman Talwar born 28 August 1959, is an Indian actor known for his work in Telugu and Tamil films, Canadian and Hindi. He was one of the most prominent actors in Telugu cinema in the 1980s.
Suman started his career playing the role of a police officer in the Tamil film Neechal kulam (1979) produced by T.R. Ramanna. In his career spanning nearly 40 years, he has appeared in over 150 films in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Suman served as a mythological character such as Venkateswara, Shiva, and Rama in Telugu. In 1993, he won the Nandi Award for Best Actor for the film Baba Baba Maridi.
He returned to acting playing villains in the Tamil films Shivaji (2007) and Kulvi (2008). He was cast as the main antagonist in the Malayalam film Sagar aka Jacky. Suman also appeared in the 2004 independent Hollywood film Death And Taxis. He also won the Asianet Film Honor Special Jury Award in 2009.
