For the 2015 Africa T20 Cup, Magala was a member of the Eastern Province cricket team’s roster. With 12 wickets, he led all bowlers in the 2016 Africa T20 Cup. He was selected for the Nelson Mandela Bay Stars team in August 2017 in preparation for the inaugural T20 Global League season.
The competition was initially delayed until November 2018 by Cricket South Africa in October 2017, but it was then called off.
He was selected for the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants team for the inaugural Mzansi Super League T20 event in October 2018. He was added to the Cape Town Blitz team’s roster in September 2019 in preparation for the Mzansi Super League competition.
