Deepak completed his education at the Govt. Boys Senior Secondary School in Begumpur. He started his acting career in 1994, under the direction of renowned theater director Arvind Gaur. Some of his most notable plays with Gaur include Tughlaq, Andha Yug, Final Solutions, Desire Under the Elms, Rakt Kalyan, Court Martial, Operation Three Star by Dario Fo, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Good Person of Szechwan, The Good Doctor by Neil Simon, and Ashok Lal’s Ek Mamooli Aadmi.
After six years with Asmita Theatre, he joined Act One with director Pt. N. K. Sharma. He appeared in the films Aksar Maine Socha Hai, Hamaar Baabuji ki Chhattri, and Aao Saathi Sapna Dekhen.
