American rapper, Freddie Gladney III, affectionately known by his stage name, Bankroll Freddie was born on October 15th 1994 in Helena, Arkansas in the United States of America.
Early Life and Career
Freddie graduated from Conway High School. He moved to Conway after his cousin was shot dead in 2009. Gladney debuted musically in 2017 with the release of the freestyle “Lil Baby.” He produced a freestyle over the City Girls song “Act Up” from the Quality Control album as part of the #ActUpChallenge. After reposting the freestyle on Instagram a short while later, Quality Control’s CEO Pierre “P” Thomas extended a meeting invitation to Gladney and invited her to Los Angeles. In 2019, Gladney released the song “Drip Like This.” In July 2019, he dropped the mixtape Saved by the Bales. A month later, Quality Control released a remix of the album’s tune Drip Like Dis, which also featured Young Dolph and Lil Baby. He formally joined Quality Control’s label after the single’s success. He released the song “Lil Mama” with Renni Rucci in November 2019.
He put out the From Trap to Rap album in 2020, which included Moneybagg Yo, Lil Yachty, Young Dolph, Lil Baby, and Trapboy Freddy. Later, he included Young Dolph in a remix of the album track “Rich Off Grass.” He released the song “Quarantine Flow” in May 2020. He got a contract with Motown Records, and on January 30, 2021, the song “Add It Up” and its accompanying music video were made available. In 2021, he released “Pop It,” his second song, which featured Megan Thee Stallion. The song was taken from Big Bank, his 2021 album by Quality Control and Motown. EST Gee, 2 Chainz, Young Scooter, Megan Thee Stallion, PnB Rock, Young Dolph, BIG30, and Gucci Mane are among the artists who appear on the album’s 14 tracks. He had previously been a car salesman. Freddie continued, saying that his manager had a sizable collection of cars that he frequently sold at vehicle auctions. Bankroll Freddie will have earned a fortune of almost $400k by the year 2022. Before he became well-known, he had a serious gambling problem. He lost $40k in one week! Due to his gambling, his money fell from $150,000 to $10,000.
On April 17, 2022, news broke that Bankroll Freddie had been detained on drug and weapons charges after being stopped for speeding. Freddie was allegedly in possession of a pistol, 171 grams of promethazine, 21 pounds of marijuana, which is illegal in the state. On May 2021, it was reported that Freddie has been shot but he later posted on his Instagram page that he is fine as he showed the wound under his chin.
Personal Life
Freddie lives in Little Rock, Arkansas. On his pinkie, he has a ring in the shape of Arkansas that is covered in diamonds. He said in an interview with VladTV that he has five kids with five different baby mothers. He made an appearance on an episode of WorldStarHipHop’s Welcome to My Hood in 2021, visiting the Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, neighborhood where he was raised.
